Thought I'd start a new post that might benefit some of the community. Ark is one of those games that doesn't really hold your hand and you generally have to figure things out the hard way. If you have any hard won tips and tricks that would help people out, post them here. Don't assume that everyone knows, chances are there is someone out there struggling with something and you might have a solution!

First tip is fixing when you load into a map. Sometimes you are in the game but can't do anything because you are not actually 'in' yet (you can tell because you load in standing up instead of on your bed). A way to correct this is change the name of your bed, and it should load you in fully. I don't know why this works but it does. I used to fast travel to fix it but this is easier.

That's an interesting one lol. I usually always just left my character there for a couple of minutes while everything loaded in. Like the thread! Keep up the good work!

Ok, this one XvXJennyXvX figured out. Using cryopods for imprints. 9 times out of10, if you cryopod a dino that needs an imprint, it will change what it is asking for. As an example if your baby wyvern needs milk to imprint, cryopod it and throw it back out. It should change to a walk or cuddle. Same goes for 'hard to get kibble. Generally changes any imprint request to walk or cuddle. Not 100% though and may take a couple of tries.

If you need element but don't have an element gacha, there is another, more brutal, way of farming it. Harvesting tek Dino's with a chainsaw yields significantly more element dust than normal. The higher tier chainsaw, the better. If you already have tek Dino's, you can breed and harvest the wee little babies for the element. But the emotional cost may be too high!

Reloading a shotgun takes a long time, especially when you have emptied it desperately but the fight continues! Waiting for the reload animation to occur six individual times feels like an eternity. If you reload a shotgun in third person view, the animation only triggers once but the weapon reloads fully to six rounds. It's a bit harder to aim but you can shoot much quicker!
